Hi again well my son Matthew has taken his first makeover photographs. We booked him a session last Sunday he was quite nervous (understandably) although there was no need as the session went extremely well. I was on hand to help and advise where necessary but Matthew seemed very capable. His sublect was Kerry a young girl of around 20, very pretty which also helps. Matthew took a selection of indoor and outdoor pictures, I am sure Kerry will be delighted with the huge selection she has to choose from.

I have been busy with the time consuming work of ordering prints making up albums this is always a problem at this time of year as with all the weddings taken at the back end of the summer the couples are all coming back with the proofs and wanting them as soon as possible with lots of the pictures being used as Christmas gifts.
I am also taking a few portraits for Christmas mostly family portraits which is quite fun. We shoot most of our portaits at the Botleigh Grange Hotel which is one of the best moves we have made. We used to have a high street studio for around 15 years but we decided to return to working from home back in September 2001 this move was prompted by the lease coming to an end and I was not keen to sign up to another one. We still do about the same number of weddings as we did from the studio, although we do not do anywhere near the same number of portraits, we are far more selective about the portrait commissions we take on and therefor we can give a higher level of service.
This weekend we have no weddings so I am going to go through the lists of people getting married next year that have expressed an interest in booking a wedding photographer and see what business I can drum up, this is not a job I relish but Rod who I have mentioned several times in this blog gave me a dressing down for buying these leads and doing nothing with them so look out Saturday I will be on the phone most of the day. Sunday I have a football team to photograph weather permitting this is something we do quite often they make great keepsakes for the kids.
I will post again Monday until then keep safe, Colin
